COVID-19 UPDATES FOR PET OWNERS

As COVID-19 continues to spread across the globe, the number of cases has increased domestically, and New York State has entered a state of emergency. To help ensure the health and safety of our clients and staff, we ask for your cooperation in following the guidelines below for visits to our hospital. For more information on COVID-19, visit the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website.

WHEN VISITING LIMERICK VETERINARY CLINIC, PLEASE FOLLOW CDC GUIDELINES FOR PERSONAL HEALTH AND HYGIENE:

• Wash your hands with soap and water prior to coming to Limerick Veterinary Clinic.

• Use hand sanitizer upon arriving and leaving Limerick Veterinary Clinic.

• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

• Cover your mouth and nose if you cough or sneeze, using a tissue or your inner elbow (not your hands).

• When possible maintain a safe social distance (6 feet) between yourself and others and abstain from shaking hands.

• We are highly conscious of maintaining the ability for people to maintain safe social distances and may ask:

o to limit the number of family members in exam rooms

o that some clients temporarily step outside or to their cars to allow for increased space in waiting areas or exam rooms

For the safety of our clients and caregivers, please follow the guidelines below for visits to Limerick Veterinary Clinic.

IN CASE OF A PET EMERGENCY

Before leaving home, it is essential that anyone displaying fever, cough, or shortness of breath or who has traveled internationally in the last 14 days or to an area in the United States with high incidence of COVID-19 call ahead to discuss the situation so we can develop an appropriate clinical plan. Upon speaking, we may ask you to find someone else to bring your pet in to receive care. You can reach us at 315-639-4300.

FOR INPATIENT VISITS

• We are restricting visits to hospitalized patients. Any exceptions will be only for critical patients whose owners do not have any respiratory symptoms.

• No personal items can be retained with the pet while hospitalized, including blankets, toys, collars, leashes, etc.

• Please clean your carrier, leash, and collar as carefully as possible before arrival with an alcohol-based solution.

• Use hand sanitizer upon arriving and leaving Limerick Veterinary Clinic.

• Please respect the ‘social distancing’ recommendations and maintain a distance of 6 feet from others, and refrain from shaking hands.

FOR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS

If you have fever, cough, or shortness of breath or have traveled internationally in the last 14 days or to an area in the United States with high incidence of COVID-19, it is critical to call to reschedule your appointment. You can reach us at 315-639-4300.

We are working hard to preserve a safe working environment for our staff during this challenging time. We want to maintain access to care for our clients and patients as comprehensively as possible for as long as possible. To do that, we will need to change some of the ways we handle client contact. We are developing low/no client contact plans for our clinical staff. We will communicate these new policies directly to you during your visit, as our protocols may vary from service to service and depending on your pet’s condition. Together, we can work to keep all of us safe and get your pet important care.

FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION ON COVID-19

For the latest information about COVID-19 visit the CDC, American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), and the New York State Department of Health COVID-19 online resource centers.

We would like to let all our current clients and future clients know that we are now accepting Care Credit. This option will give you the choice of having a back up choice if you have a bill that seems impossible to pay, but you want to do what's best for your pet without breaking the bank. Please take a moment and look at the Care Credit website to help decide if it is something that you could benefit from.

FRONTLINE Plus has 2 tough killing ingredients. The 1st, fipronil, kills adult fleas and ticks. The 2nd, (S)-methoprene, attacks flea eggs and larvae. They work together to kill all month long.

Plus, it breaks the flea life cycle. By also destroying the next generation of flea eggs and larvae, FRONTLINE Plus gives you the power to help prevent a flea infestation on your pet.

Ask your vet about the flea and tick protection of FRONTLINE Plus.

Limited Time Offer Purchase 3 doses (3months) and get a 1 dose free, or Purchase 6 doses (6 months) and get 2 free doses.
